Objective
Calling 2020 anything other than hard would be *clears throat* an understatement. Party City, the go-to destination for party supplies tapped into the collective need to forget the year with its “FU (Forget U) 2020” product line—and looked to us, their social agency of record, for creative support in creating social-first content for their social channels.
Solution
Together, we channeled the sadness, frustration, and anger felt throughout the year to give Party City customers the last laugh in an otherwise tragic year. Our team concepted and produced tongue-in-cheek images, GIFs, and videos that showed people celebrating the end of 2020 by smashing cakes, destroying party table setups, and popping balloons. Leveraging humor helped drive $1 million in sales for Party City and joy for their customers.
