Live with the Lodge
Objective
As schools and businesses implemented stricter restrictions amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Great Wolf Lodge recognized the challenges parents with young children might face during the winter season.
Even though many of its lodges were temporarily closed, the brand wanted to go beyond the water park and leverage its expertise in creating memorable moments for families to recreate at home.
Solution
Knowing that Facebook Live consumption increased by 50 percent since folks began quarantining at home, we seized the perfect opportunity to leverage this medium within our content strategy.
We concepted and produced a series of engaging and kid-friendly live videos that guided families through fun at-home activities like hot cocoa bombs, yoga, and even mocktail mixology!
Each activity tied back to the most beloved dry attractions at Great Wolf Lodge. Each episode was hosted by a relevant expert—and, of course, the Great Wolf characters helped out too!
In addition to the Facebook Live videos, we maximized these shoot days by capturing captivating photos for Facebook and Instagram as well as a variety of evergreen, social-first videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
We captured all the fun on camera and created authentic, beautiful static shots and videos shared by both Stop & Shop and the influencers throughout October. The party was a graveyard smash and let Stop & Shop increase its social media presence among a new and relevant audience.
Impact
• 7x-20x more comments, 3x more video views, and 3-4x longer video view length than average posts
• Top-performing Facebook Live received 118K views
