Designer types, like myself, export dozens (if not hundreds) of files each day. From print-ready PDFs to multi-frame animated GIFs, we’re fluent in the difference between those acronyms at the end of file names. But to the average Joe, those tiny little letters can be the most confusing and intimidating things in the world.
With a handful of different file types to choose from, each with their own pros, cons and purposes, it’s good to understand what each does and when each should be used.
