Happy International Women’s Day!
We figured there was no better way to celebrate this lovely day than by shouting out some inspirational, intelligent, amazing women who are killing it in the field of social media. These women represent companies big and small in different industries. Some are just starting out in their careers and others are seasoned vets, but the most important thing they have in common is that they are doing great work—oh, and that they were recently on our All the Social Ladies podcast. Check them out below!
1. Zaria Parvez of Duolingo
Just months into her career, Zaria Parvez helped grow Duolingo’s TikTok channel to millions of followers (3.1 million as of this writing!). She’s been featured in publications like Digiday, Adweek, and Insider for her incredible work. Give her a listen on All the Social Ladies to hear about the strategy behind Duo’s spicy personality, and learn the secrets to success when it comes to hopping on trends, building relationships in the comments, and going after Dua Lipa’s heart.
2. Kate Winick of Peloton Interactive
Kate Winick was recently promoted to Senior Director, Social Media at Peloton Interactive and has been at the company for nearly four years. She’s had an amazing career journey which she shared with us on the All the Social Ladies podcast, in addition to chatting about the Peloton instructors’ rise to social media stardom, launching a new channel like TikTok, and her favorite Peloton campaign to date.
3. Keara Spicer of TUSHY
The bidet business has been booming since the Great Toilet Paper Scare of 2020™, and with Keara Spicer on board as TUSHY’s Head of Social and Community Management, the brand has committed to connecting with its growing community by creating content they actually want to share. Listen to her episode on All the Social Ladies to hear about how their unapologetic persona comes through on social media via memes, trends, and humorous (albeit often polarizing) campaigns.
4. Heather Brinckerhoff of Magnolia
If you know Chip and Joanna Gaines, you know Magnolia—now get to know Heather Brinckerhoff, the brand’s Director of Social Media! Give her All the Social Ladies episode a listen to learn more about Heather’s mission to bring love, positivity, and kindness into the world through content, her plans for the newly launched Magnolia Network channel, and (of course) the most-loved Magnolia product in her home.
5. Bryna Corcoran of Lyft
Bryna Corcoran is the Director of Brand, Social Media, and Influencer Marketing at Lyft! On her episode of the All the Social Ladies podcast, she shared the thinking behind some of the brand’s recent campaigns (like helping your loved ones get to their vaccination appointments), and also tells us the lessons she’s learned from building social teams from scratch. Plus, we collectively cringe over three dirty words we all hate to hear: *whispers* cutdowns for social. Give it a listen!
